Education: Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, University of Maryland
I have been at St. Mark since: 1995
Personal: I am originally from Ohio, then I lived in Maryland before moving to Texas in 1994. I am married and have four grown children, seven grandchildren, and enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy reading and running/walking.
Philosophy of Education: I believe every child is a unique individual who has the potential to bring something special to the world. I want to provide a safe, caring, compassionate environment where all learners feel capable and successful to develop that potential. I hope to instill curiosity and a love of lifelong learning in my students.
Mission Statement: My mission is to give each student an understanding of the nature of science. This is accomplished through exposure to topics using a lab-oriented format and relating the disciplines to real life experiences. In a community of faith in God, I desire to cultivate scientific interest and increase a sense of wonder in the world.
