Certifications and specializations: Texas Catholic Education Department Certified Religion Teacher
I have been at St. Mark since: 2017
Personal: I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, where I attended Loyola University and began a lifelong commitment to Catholic education. My husband and I have been blessed with four children, two of whom have graduated from St. Mark. I love spending time with my family and friends, visiting Louisiana and the beach, watching football on the weekends, and maintaining an active lifestyle.
Philosophy of Education: It is very important to me to contribute to the growth of the whole child – mind, body, and spirit. I want to help the students to become the beautiful people that God created them to be. I want them to feel loved, safe, cared for, and called to go forth to show God’s love and mercy to all that they encounter. I enjoy presenting content using cross-curricular connections and strategies, and I value helping students to develop the skills necessary to be successful, not only throughout their formal education, but also throughout their lives.
Mission Statement: My mission is to actively foster both spiritual and personal growth in each student through the exploration of the Catholic faith and social studies. I strive to promote a classroom culture of inclusivity, compassion, and creative thinking in order to encounter God in others and the world around them.
