Education: Bachelor of Science, Agricultural Leadership and Development, Texas A&M University 2006
I have been at St. Mark since: 2023
Personal: I got my first teaching position at OD Wyatt high school in Fort Worth where I taught physics, chemistry, and environmental science. Laura and I moved to Wylie in 2010 when I took a position as a chemistry teacher and football coach at Wylie High School. I taught various subjects while at Wylie High School including chemistry, physics, earth and space science, and anatomy and physiology. I coached both football and baseball there for 9 years. During that time, Laura and I welcomed our three children, Michael, Joseph, and Anna into our lives. In 2019, I decided that my public school coaching days needed to take a backseat to my family obligations. I started working at Achieve Academy, an alternative school in Wylie. There, I found a passion for teaching mathematics.
Philosophy of Education: I strive to bring real-life to the classroom every day to relate learning to the world around us.
Mission Statement: As a Catholic educator, I must provide the example of what it means to be a good person by living my faith, showing compassion for those that need it, and being the kind of person I want my children to grow up to be.
