Summer Packet

 We look forward to welcoming our families to the 2024-25 school year in August.

In the meantime, we have compiled the following information that all school families will need during the summer months. Some of these items require action, so we encourage parents to read and complete these tasks early.

SUMMER CHECKLIST
Use this checklist to ensure that applicable summer tasks are completed in a timely manner. Details and links for more information about each task are described below.

Tuition payments for the upcoming school year begin in June and will be drafted through FACTS.  

Changes to your tuition schedule during the summer is as easy as logging in to FACTS. Click on "Family Information," and then click on "Tuition Plan Sign Up." You can then adjust bank information and payment dates. If you need additional assistance, contact the school office or FACTS at 866-441-4637.

UPDATING FAMILY INFORMATION IN FACTS FAMILY PORTAL
 
If your contact information (address, phone, cell or emergency pickup) has changed, please update it in FACTS Family Portal. Please make sure all information is updated by July 31, 2024. To review/update your information:
 
Log in to FACTS. The District Code is: STMCS-TX. From the left-hand menu, select "School Home," then "Web Forms" and then click on "Family Demographic Form."
 
There are six forms that must be reviewed and updated:
-Student Demographic Form
-Student Medical Form
-Custodial Parent Form
-Emergency Contacts
-Transportation Form
-Grandparents Form*
 
Please do not add a student e-mail, student cell phone number, or automobile information.
 
St. Mark hosts an annual "Grandparents Day.” Please complete the contact information for all grandparents so that we can be sure to invite them (including a mailing address and email).
 
Note: The information in the St. Mark online school directory is pulled from FACTS Family Portal. If you do not want your information to be visible, be sure to "check" the appropriate section.

ST. MARK "CLOUD" LIBRARY
 
Although school is out and the physical library is closed, the St. Mark "cloud" library is still open for business all summer. By visiting the Library web page, you have access to a number of fun, yet educational activities. The "Homework and Research Links" tab has many web pages, including fun author and book web pages. The "Destiny" tab has our databases, which are still live over the summer, and our catalog, which has access to nearly 100 ebooks. Once in the Catalog, click on "Destiny Discover" on the side menu and scroll down to the bottom. The Guest login is guest, password lions.

Most returning 5th-8th grade students have their own login they can use, but if not, please contact School Librarian, Mrs. Hughes, for your barcode number. If you have a compatible device and decide to download "Follett Digital Reader," the URL is wbb31467. Guests can read any books that aren't checked out. If you have an account, you can check out a book for a three-week period. We hope students make use of these resources over the summer.

               

Used Uniform Sales
Stock up on gently used uniform pieces for girls and boys. Used Uniform Sales will take place at the "Back-To-School Sunday" event on Sunday. During the school year, the Used Uniform Store will be open on the third Friday of every other month from 7:40-8:30 AM. Check the school calendar for dates.
 

PARENT STUDENT HANDBOOK

The Parent Student Handbook is your resource for the St. Mark Catholic School policies and procedures. Access a digital copy at www.stmcs.net/parent-student-handbook-1.
 

For the sake of convenience, it is advised that DPL Sports Physical Forms be updated and submitted to the school each year by June 1. However, we understand that many students can only have these forms updated when their annual physical exams take place. In this case, please be mindful of your child’s annual physical exam date. A new DPL Sports Physical Form must be submitted to the school as soon as the previous year’s form expires, or the student will be ineligible to participate in DPL sports.

To participate in athletics, please do the following:
 

1. Register online for your sport BEFORE the deadline. The Athletic Director will send an email with registration and payment information before each season begins.
2. Complete the DPL Sports Physical Form and email to erma.bryant@stmcs.net.
3. Read the St. Mark Athletic Handbook, Uniform Policy, and Parent Code of Conduct.
4. St. Mark requires all student-athletes maintain acceptable grades and satisfactory behavior.

Coaches: All coaches must update their Safe Environment clearance in order to participate in any practices (on or off campus) with a St. Mark school team.
